Exclusive: FABLES Creator Talks Return & Future of Series

**SR: These books are celebrating the return of Fables , but many fans will be marking their calendars for May 2022, and the arrival of Fables #151 . What is it like to plan and execute a «relaunch» of this series on the twentieth anniversary of its original launch

His success was a lucky break, yes, but it also came at the cost of the lives and well-being of those around him. And now he stands in a park in Venice, praying that he can flick some popcorn into the air and land them in his mouth, all while pigeons swirl around him and the twisted visage of his daughter growls threats to his life. On the third attempt, the sun breaks through the clouds above, blinding the man and causing him to fail his final popcorn catch. Almost an act of divine intervention. The man’s head comes off, fulfilling the threats the Stand made years earl

Another game that’s had its fair share of development issues, Skull and Bones generated plenty of excitement for its potential appearance at Ubisoft’s E3 2021 showcase, but just last month the publisher announced another delay for the project. Because of the timing of the announcement, it seems like Ubisoft wanted to get ahead of the rumors surrounding Skull and Bones ‘ appearance at E3 and temper expectations. The publisher has plenty of other games to talk about for its show, but it’s a shame that it seems its highly anticipated pirate adventure won’t be one of them. Skull and Bones has been pushed back to 2022 or 2023, so there’s still much to be seen before the game finally relea

To open said door, players need to perform a positive expression to a child in front of it — it’s located inside of the front gate to the right. The game’s hand holding mechanic makes it simple to get a kid over there. However, it can only be the protagonist’s offspring as the game (understandably) doesn’t allow the player to hold random kids’ ha

Once players complete the quests «My Speciality» and «I Wanna Get Better!» they’ll receive a request from Aria in the Golden Settlement to deliver a Queen’s Dinner to Venus. Players must earn the recipe for the Queen’s Dinner itself by completing a separate quest. As stated above, recipe requires both a Crisbee Donut and Tangy Carpaccio to m

The Stand throws the bag of popcorn at the man and tells him; «You can see your destiny through a trivial, little thing.» The task is trivial, yes, but the stakes are high, and the popcorn is emblematic of everything this man is. He’s a corn magnate – as ridiculous as that is – and this symbol of his success is also the harbinger of his undoing. It feels to me like a postmodern Aesopica – Aesop’s Fables – and the untimely undoing of once humble, but often selfish characters within. When a goose lays golden eggs the owners slice it open in search of gold surely hidden inside, only to find nothing. This unrivalled greed has always been an undeniable sin, but it takes on a different flavour when under capital

Bug Fables is a great third-party game that has flown under the radars of many gamers. Yet Nintendo fans, particularly those of the Paper Mario series, should enjoy it. From its opening hours, players will notice similarities between Bug Fables and Paper Mario , including its storybook aesthetic, whimsical soundtrack, and sense of humor. This carries on to its gameplay, as Bug Fables features turn-based combat , overworld puzzles and platforming, and of course a multitude of sideque

One of the many games delayed into 2022, Hogwarts Legacy is unlikely to make an E3 2021 appearance . Despite initially planning to release later this year, it seems like there’s still a ways to go in the game’s development. There is a handful of Warner Bros. games that fans are itching to see including Hogwarts Legacy , Gotham Knights , and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League , but the only game the studio will be showing at E3 2021 will be Back 4 Blood . Some fans might hope for another look at Hogwarts Legacy in the form of a «one more thing»-type announcement, but that seems unlik

The world of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure focuses on the Joestar family for far too long. It is, after all, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, so it makes sense that this titular adventure would follow Jonathan Joestar and his descendants. However, once you’ve caught up to Part 4: Diamond Is Unbreakable , you start to see that there’s more to the world of JoJo than just one family and a cursed bloodline. Josuke Higashikata , Part 4’s protagonist, starts to take a back seat while his pals and acquaintances step into a more central role. The growth of the initially shy Koichi Hirose into the confident and assertive young lad we see at the beginning of Part 5 is emblematic of that shift. Koichi is, arguably, more of a protagonist than Josuke ever was, with more of the traditional shounen story beats associated with him as opposed to the rest of the cast. This was where it became clear that the world of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure game story guide deserved to be explored further, away from the Joestar family – and with Netflix’s Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan , we finally get just t
